We do not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal information whatsoever.

2. How Your Data is Stored

2.1 Local Storage Only

StillMatters stores your logged moments (emoji selections, colors, optional notes, and timestamps) using your device's local database storage only. This data:

• ✅ Stays on YOUR device (iPhone, iPad, or Android device)
• ✅ Never leaves your device
• ✅ Is never transmitted to our servers (we don't have servers)
• ✅ Is never backed up to the cloud by us
• ✅ Is completely under your control

You can delete all data instantly at any time using the Emergency Erase feature in the app.

2.2 Technical Details

The app uses SQLite database (a standard local database technology) to store your entries on your device. This database:

• Is stored in your device's app-specific storage directory
• Is sandboxed and accessible only to StillMatters
• Cannot be accessed by other apps on your device
• Is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app

3. What We DON'T Collect

We want to be crystal clear. StillMatters does NOT collect, access, transmit, or store:

• ❌ Your email address
• ❌ Your phone number
• ❌ Your location (GPS, IP address, or otherwise)
• ❌ Your contacts
• ❌ Your photos or camera access
• ❌ Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID, etc.)
• ❌ Usage analytics
• ❌ Crash reports
• ❌ Diagnostic data
• ❌ Client names or personal information
• ❌ Any personally identifiable information (PII)
• ❌ Anything else

We don't collect data because we don't need it. Your journal is yours alone.

4. No Accounts Required

StillMatters requires zero registration:

• No username
• No password
• No email verification
• No phone number
• No social media login

You simply download the app and start using it. That's it.

5. No Internet Connection Required

StillMatters works completely offline. We don't request internet permissions because we don't need them. Your data never leaves your device because it physically can't.

6. Device Backups

Your device's operating system (iOS or Android) may include StillMatters data in its automatic device backups (iCloud Backup, Google Backup). This is controlled by your device settings, not by StillMatters.

To prevent this:

iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups → [Your Device] → Toggle off StillMatters

Android: Settings → Google → Backup → Toggle off app data for StillMatters

7. Emergency Erase

We understand that many helpers work in sensitive situations (domestic violence, child protection, crisis response). That's why we include an Emergency Erase button that:

• Instantly deletes ALL your entries
• Requires no confirmation (for immediate safety)
• Cannot be undone
• Leaves no trace

This feature exists to increase psychological safety for workers who may need to quickly remove all data.

8. No Third-Party Services

StillMatters does not use:

• ❌ Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• ❌ Crash reporting (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
• ❌ Advertising networks
• ❌ Social media integrations
• ❌ Cloud storage services
• ❌ Push notification services
• ❌ Any third-party data collection tools

There are no third parties involved. Period.

9. App Permissions

Android Permissions

StillMatters requests ZERO permissions on Android. No storage, no network, nothing.

iOS Permissions

StillMatters requests ZERO permissions on iOS.

Important: If you see any permission requests from StillMatters, something is wrong. Please contact us immediately at privacy@stillmatters.app

10. Children's Privacy

StillMatters is designed for adults in helping professions. However, we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13, because we don't collect any data at all.

The app is rated for general audiences and contains no inappropriate content.

11. Data Security

Since we don't collect or transmit data, there's no data to secure in transit or on our servers (we don't have servers). Your data's security is entirely in your hands:

• Keep your device password-protected
• Use device encryption (enabled by default on modern devices)
• Use the Emergency Erase if needed
• Control your device's backup settings

12. International Users

StillMatters is available globally. Since we collect no data, there are no international data transfer concerns. Your data stays on your device regardless of where you are in the world.

13. Compliance with Privacy Laws

GDPR (European Union)

StillMatters is GDPR-compliant because we don't process personal data.

CCPA (California)

StillMatters does not sell personal information because we don't collect it.

COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)

StillMatters doesn't knowingly collect data from children because we don't collect data at all.

Australian Privacy Act 1988

As an Australian company, ZYMPHIX PTY LTD complies with the Australian Privacy Principles. Since StillMatters collects no personal information, these principles do not apply to the app's operation.

HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)

StillMatters does not store Protected Health Information (PHI). Users should not enter client names, diagnoses, or any identifiable health information into the app.

Important: While StillMatters is private, it is not HIPAA-compliant as a Business Associate. Do not enter any information that would identify clients or contain Protected Health Information.

14. Your Rights

Under privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, Australian Privacy Act, etc.), you have rights regarding your personal data. However, since StillMatters collects no personal data:

• Right to Access: There's no data to access on our end
• Right to Deletion: Use the Emergency Erase button in the app
• Right to Portability: Your data never leaves your device
• Right to Opt-Out: There's nothing to opt out of

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We will update this policy if:

• Legal requirements change
• We add features that affect privacy (unlikely)
• We need to clarify our practices

If we make significant changes, we will notify users through:

• A notice on our website

We will NEVER change our core principle: We don't collect your data.
